How Much Does the FG Transfer to Beneficiaries?

According to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs Betta Edu, beneficiaries will receive a minimum of N50,000 through the Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program. She strongly urges Nigerians not to accept amounts lower than N50,000.

“Should any of our officials involved in the program offer you an amount less than the minimum of N50,000, do not accept it. Report such incidents to me or your state governor using the provided telephone numbers.”

Furthermore, the Minister has embraced digital payment methods for the N50,000 conditional cash transfer.

How to Register for Conditional Cash Transfer

Registering for the Conditional Cash Transfer program is not a straight forward application process; it is based on a selection process conducted through assessment.

Here’s how the registration process works:

1. The process is initiated by the Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO).

2. YESSO agents will contact the head of the beneficiary’s community. A town crier will then be summoned to call the community members to a meeting at designated locations where enumeration will be carried out.

3. The list compiled by YESSO will be submitted to the National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO), which will dispatch agents to your community to publicly display the list at specified locations.

4. Subsequently, NCTO will digitally capture the beneficiaries and issue them with official ID cards.
