Chopspoonz – Gombawa
Chopspoonz – Gombawa
Chopspoonz – Gombawa, isn’t just another song; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the place I call home – Gombe State. This beautiful state, nestled in the heart of the Sahel, is nothing short of a gem in the savannah. Over the years, I’ve watched Gombe evolve and flourish in so many ways. From economic growth to agricultural development, and a thriving business scene, it’s been awe-inspiring to witness.
The story behind “Gombawa” is rooted in my own journey as a student nurse. After completing my exams, I embarked on a two-week journey away from Gombe, a place that had been my haven for over a decade. The moment I left, I realized just how breathtaking Gombe is. It hit me: this place deserved a song, and I was the one to sing its praises.
Gombe is more than just a location on a map for me; it’s my baby, the place where I’ve grown and learned. I’ve met incredible people and been embraced by the peace and religious tolerance that are the essence of Gombe. It’s a place where every family represents a beautiful mosaic of different faiths. If you find a Christian, there’s a Muslim nearby, and vice versa. Gombe’s culture is a rich tapestry that weaves its people together, and I’m proud to celebrate it in Gombawa.
As a musician and music producer since 2012, I’ve always wanted to create music that has a deeper meaning. “Gombawa” was an opportunity for me to express my love and appreciation for this place I call home. The song’s melody and lyrics are a reflection of the beauty and harmony that I see in Gombe. It’s my hope that when people listen to (Gombawa) they not only enjoy the music but also get a glimpse of the magic that Gombe holds.
This song is more than just a musical piece; it’s a message. It’s a message of unity, peace, and love. I believe that music has the power to bring people together, and in these challenging times, we need that unity more than ever. Through “Gombawa” I want to convey the idea that regardless of our backgrounds and beliefs, we can come together, just like the people of Gombe.
So, when you listen to “Gombawa” , I hope you not only hear the music but also feel the love and pride I have for Gombe State. It’s a place that has shaped me into the person I am today, both as a student nurse and as a musician. And it’s my dream to make the world a better place, one song at a time. With Gombawa, I’m taking the first step towards that dream, and I hope you’ll join me on this musical journey celebrating the beauty of Gombe.
